About Legacy Building Specialties Inc.
Tom Pierro
Owner / President
Moving to Grand County in January 1991 to help grow the lumber side of the family owned and operated True Value Hardware store, Tom was instrumental in building a team of professionals who, by developing a reputation for exceptional service, proved to create one of the leading lumber companies in Grand County. He opened the cabinetry department in 1992 designing and selling while managing the continued growth of the lumber, window and door departments. In January 2003, after ownership changes, Tom opened Legacy Building Specialties in a one bedroom apartment and a one car garage used for shipping and receiving. In 2005, pursuing a dream, Legacy moved into an 8,000 sf premium showroom and sales offices allowing clients to “Touch and Feel” the products they usually only gaze at in magazines. Many of these products have been sold and serviced by Tom and his team for over 15 years. Today, Legacy has one of the most elite teams of experienced professionals in the industry focusing on sales, design, installation and service of specialized products.
